How many schools should I apply to?
We are firm believers in the number 7 (8… if you’re superstitious!). Even for the most competitive applicants all over the world with the most tantalizing profiles, the admissions process can be a bit arbitrary. Every year we see clients who will be accepted at Harvard or Stanford, but dinged at lower-ranked programs like CBS or MIT. Who would predict that?! But it does happen. And while our team is highly proficient at predicting outcomes, there is always an element of chance to the MBA process.
It is therefore wise to learn from this reality and spread the risk over a variety of target schools. Give yourself as many chances as possible. With 7+ schools, you can apply to two or three “reach” programs, two or three “safer” choices, and a few that lie somewhere in the middle. This approach by itself doesn’t guarantee admission anywhere, of course. But with a strong application (airtight essays), this school selection strategy will improve your chances dramatically.
How do your packages work?
Every applicant is unique. Well, more accurately, every applicant has the potential to be unique with the proper mentoring approach. We then help them focus their application around a clear theme; the theme that will help distinguish them from their competition. For Deluxe clients, clients have complete access to our Magic 7 MBAs by phone.
Then we move into the draft development process, the flagship process of Precision Essay. Our method of editing essays goes far beyond grammar and usage and style. We ask tough questions, we point out flaws in logic, we suggest clearer ways of articulating an argument, we dig into the very CORE of the work to help the client understand his own story better and deliver it with greater clarity and confidence. Which package is right for me?
We offer different levels of service to suit the needs of many types of applicants. For those looking for an all-inclusive option and who prefer to discuss their questions and backgrounds with their M7 MBA, we offer the Deluxe package. The Deluxe gives you access to everything, including a review by a second M7 MBA. For those who have the time and resources, this is an excellent option.
Some applicants are singularly focused on the written portion of their application and need targeted help with their essays without phone support. For this type of candidate, we offer the Junior Deluxe. The Junior Deluxe delivers a high impact boost to arguably the most important aspect of the application: the essays.
We also offer a simpler service for folks with budgetary or time limitations. Our Basic package includes the same high-level profile assessment as the Deluxe or Junior Deluxe. We then follow up with a single high-level edit, leaving you with tightened essays and a clear path forward for minor adjustments.

What are my chances of admission?
There are a variety of factors that contribute to any one individual’s chances of earning an invitation for an interview, and ultimately, the prized “admit.” GMAT, age, work experience, and gender are just a few of the components. Pushing past such basic profile specs, however, are the nature of a candidate’s work experience, how many people they’ve led, how quickly they’ve been promoted compared to their peers, how successful they’ve been with respect to the challenges unique to their particular life and career, and so on. And of course, your ability to communicate these factors convincingly in your essays plays a huge role in piquing the adcom’s interest to give your overall application a closer look.
