- Dartmouth Tuck Unique Features
- Small Class Size – With just under 250 students per class, all MBAs get to know each other really, really well and are a very tight knit group.
- Team Projects – All assignments are completed as a study group with a team of five to six students. Given the intimate community and small class size, teamwork is extremely important at Tuck.
- General Management – Tuck’s curriculum focuses on general management and places equal emphasis on strategy, marketing, finance, and operations.
- Rigorous Fall Quarter – The first semester is notoriously difficult, given the intense core curriculum and elongated 32-week school year.
- First-Year Project (FYP) – Students are placed on a team of five students and work directly with a faculty advisor to bring classroom learning into a real business problem. This project happens at the end of the first year, and lets students to consult real-world clients to solve business problems or work on a business plan for entrepreneurial ventures.
- Core Curriculum – The core curriculum includes courses such as Capital Markets, Corporate Finance, Decision Science, Leading Organizations, Managerial Economics, and more.
- Health Care Initiative – Students interested in health care studies can take courses such as “Management of Health Care Organizations” and “Business of Health Care.”
- Allwin Initiative for Corporate Citizenship – Energy and sustainability are important at Tuck, and they offer electives in corporate citizenship such as “Ethics in Action” and “Management of Disasters.”
